Michael Sobota

Growing up in an era where electronic dreams were sold, Michael’s strong foundation and knowledge of information technology weren’t restricted by absorbent pricing or a falling communist regime of Eastern Europe. Purchasing an MS-DOS book as a teen, he learned all commands by heart. Inspirational entrepreneur movies also dominated the scene and with his love of computers the vision to focus on IT, business and capital markets was born. Emigrating to Australia in 1999, he made Gold Coast his home and enrolled to study at Bond University. Dovetailing an arts degree with IT, Michael Graduated in 2001 with Master of IT and Master of Arts (Linguistics). Post university his career kicked off as a Business Analyst with global integrated software powerhouse Docent where he industrialised critical skills in project management, software development and E-Learning implementation for Government and Fortune 500 clients. Three years later, he took on a BDM role with multimillion-dollar IT service provider Invizage to experience the other side of the industry — consulting and sales to the SME sector. It was here that Michael felt a pull to the Managed Services Provider sector. Having worked with one of Australia’s leading MSP’s he saw endless opportunities to leverage greater economies of scale and efficiencies. So, in 2006 he founded Technically Yours and over five years built the business from the ground up. Completing number of mergers and acquisitions in the process, the company became a leading operator in Sydney. The experience gave him the clarity and focus he needed to realise a proprietary system and process that is smart, flexible and capable of generating value for the investors. Talented in exposing a business’s true P&L, Michael has continued to specialise in ‘business renovations'. In his latest venture with IT&C he dedicated to ensuring they stand out from the crowd and become a national MSP and ASX listed company through acquisitions and organic growth.
